This video shows new modifications to my Virtual Boy Controller Adapter to allow Wii accessories (Nunchuck, Classic Controller, etc) to be connected and used. The Classic Controller emulates the original VB controller, so it can be used to play commercial VB games, as well as new homebrew games taking advantage of the analog sticks and extra buttons. The Nunchuck is really only good for homebrew, since it doesn’t have enough controls to replace a VB controller, but there are many homebrew possibilities with the 3-axis accelerometer and analog stick. It uses a Parallax Propeller microcontroller, and communicates over i2c. This is a response to the Playstation 2 Controller Adapter I posted several days ago. It was hard to see the game and the controller in the last video, so I decided to hook it up to my Virtual Boy TV adapter (which I posted a video of a while ago) connected to my projector. Hopefully you can see everything better, and a wall-sized VB game is pretty cool .
